Country Pub Sold

The Wheatsheaf Inn at Abbeytown near Wigton has been sold through Mere Commercial on behalf of Daniel Thwaites plc. The country pub has ample outside areas including a large beer garden and car park as well two bar areas, a catering kitchen and owners accommodation. It lies on the road between Wigton and Silloth in north west Cumbria and has been closed since September this year. The property has been acquired by a local businessman, who intends to revitalise the pub. The price has not been disclosed.
