Horse and Farrier at Dacre Sold

4th October, 2017

The 18th Century Horse and Farrier pub in the historic village of Dacre, near Ullswater in the Lake District National Park, has been sold through local specialist agent, Mere Commercial.

Acting on behalf of the vendors, who are concentrating on other business interests, Mere Commercial sold the character property to the Brockbank Family from the Wigton area, who intend to upgrade the pub and open serving good quality homemade food.

The pub is a well known destination inn with a cosy bar and restaurant having views over the north Lakes fells. Duncan Young, director of Mere Commercial commented “The pub and leisure market generally has been in good health recently with a number of sales completed or in the pipeline, particularly where prices have fallen in line with the market.”
