Lake District Voted Holiday Destination of the Year

The Lake District has been voted Holiday Destination of the Year in the BBC Countryfile Magazine awards 2014-15. Now in its fourth year, the awards are a celebration of both the countryside and the people that make it so special. The 2014-15 awards were launched in the January 2015 issue of BBC Countryfile Magazine and featured 12 categories each containing a shortlist nominated by expert judges.
